Thedramabetween STORM RECORDS AND FBS ENTERTAINMENT continues.
Just hours ago, the label issued a
statement explaining why Naeto C is not culpable, and threatening to
take legal actions against the promoters.
But a rep for FBS, Muhammad Nura Abdullahi has replied the label, saying ‘We
want to clearly state that Naeto C categorically agreed to the advance
payment and the agreement did not state that default to pay the full
contract sum (which was never demanded for) repudiates the contract.
In fact, the standard of all
contract agreement dictates that parties are bound by the agreement and
none of the parties can unilaterally use any standard to interpret the
contents of a signed agreement. We would like to state that no custom
should be used to defraud people on any grounds. This is the Law’.
Abdullahi also alleges that Storm Records has been aware of the on-going drama but refused to respond all along.
‘We (our legal team) wrote to Naeto C
via Storm Records and Storms Records is in the know and neglected to
respond for long, attached is the screen shot of that demand letter sent
to them. A confirmation of delivery receipt and courier details from
UPS’.
Copies of the delivery signed by the
Storm Records office receptionist, a certain Jumoke and dated September,
24, 2012 have been made available to NET
